HOW IS IT DONE?

Its purpose is to form an even chemical barrier to try and prevent termites gaining access to the insode of the building. This is done by trenching around the building Removing the soil and replacing it with Stewarts Treated soil.

It becomes necessary when chemical applied around the perimetre of a builng and under the subfloor {if applicable} on a Standard Subterranean Termite Treatment could or has failed.
Main reason for this are :
1. CONSTRUCTION
- where the building is designed to drain water away from the building e.g retainig walls
- Buildings with cracks
- Buildings with multiple construction types
- Buildings with additions

2.SOIL TYPES { one of the main problems in termite treament failure}
- Clay Soil have limited penetration ability for chemicals to be applied
- Rocky gravel soils are similar to clay soils but additionally cause shielded and pocketed non treated areas
- Water Repellant sand will reject chemical application and can cause run offs to areas where it is not needed
- Quick draining soils (crushed stone ect ) the chemical needs to be retained in the area and not drained away
- Soil combinations will give conducive and non conducie chemical retain ability and this leads to an unevem poor barrier that will break down

3.RUBBLE AND DEBRIS IN THE SOIL

Trench is dug diwn to the footings. The soil is removed taken away or placed on you property

The stewarts Treated soil is placed in the trench and compacted

The concrete and paving are filled with decrative stones or other OR The concrete and paving is replaced { not preffered method }
